Disability Festival in the Park 2025

The only fully accessible and inclusive festival in the borough

Redbridge Council, together with charity partners One Place East, Redbridge Forum, WEL Enterprises, Vision Redbridge Culture & Leisure, Healthwatch Redbridge, Colours of Redbridge and Snaresbrook Arts Project brings the annual Disability Awareness Festival back to Christchurch Green in Wanstead.

Supported by local estate agents, The Stow Brothers, this event aims to promote awareness, celebrate diversity, and provide an opportunity for people of all abilities to come together and enjoy a fun-filled day. Whether you want to explore creative activities, enjoy great music, or simply connect with the local community, there’s something for everyone! It attracts people from across Redbridge and beyond.

What makes this festival different is that it is the only fully accessible and inclusive festival in the borough. No matter what a person’s ability, this is the only festival which truly understands what people need as it is designed by people with disabilities. It features comedians, artists and musicians with a range of different abilities and provides information on how people can live independent and healthy lives.

It is also the only festival in Redbridge to feature fully accessible facilities, including toilets, hoists and washing facilities for those who need extra support.

This exciting event will take place on Wednesday 23rd July 2025, from 12 PM to 7 PM at Christchurch Green, Wanstead, E11 2RH.

How can you be a part of the most accessible and disability friendly event in London?

We are looking for exhibitors who provide a service or have products that promote independent living and health & wellbeing.

This is an opportunity for you to share what you do with thousands of people who are passionately interested in finding out what is available to them. You can bring your own display boards and materials.

The cost for a space in the information village is £50 – this cost includes hire of a table and two chairs. You will be allocated a shared space in a gazebo or marquee.

If you are a non-funded disability group there is no charge but you will be asked for proof of eligibility – please email dafestival24@gmail.com for more information.

If you are a caterer interested in providing food and drink at the festival, then please get in touch. You will need to provide your own equipment & generators and provide copies of relevant insurance and food hygiene certificates.

The cost for a space in the village will be £100. If you are a disability user-led group providing food and refreshments, there will be no charge for the pitch.

We will only have one provider per ‘type’ of food (i.e. ice cream provider, slushy provider, barbecue provider) so bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.

To reserve your place please email dafestival24@gmail.com for more information.

We are looking for businesses or groups, particularly if they are disability led, who are interested in selling their handcrafted goods to festival go-ers.

We are also interested in face painters, glitter tattoo artists and other creative providers. The cost for a pitch at the festival is £50 for private businesses. You will need to provide your own gazebo and tables and chairs, although these can be hired at a cost through us.

If you are a disability user led organisation there is no charge for a market stall pitch – please email dafestival24@gmail.com for more information.

If you would like to run an interactive and accessible free workshop to teach people new skills and build confidence, then please get in touch.

There is no fee payable to run your workshop and we will provide a gazebo for you. You will, however, need to provide your own tables and chairs, although these can be hired at a cost through us.
