Create to Market
We want to showcase the talent of Disabled People. Are you a maker, creator or budding entrepreneur?
Our newest project, ‘Create to Market’ is a 10 week creative enterprise programme, which includes:
- Specialist creative classes to learn new skills
- Group creative sessions making together
- Enterprise and business skills workshops
- Experience of designing a product range
- Experience of coordinating an exhibition
- Sales and marketing experience online and in-person
The project will end with an exhibition with the opportunity to sell the products made during the 10 week programme. Sessions will run every Thursday, from 15 February.
The day starts with a teaching session in the morning at 10:30, followed by a practical makers workshop in the afternoon at 1:30.
* NOTE: On 29 February, we have 2 different sessions. The morning session will be Clay Decorations with Suzy at 10:30, and the afternoon session will be Digital Upcycling with Stirling at 1:30.

15 Feb – Watercolour Painting Card Making with Cynthia & Suzy
Join us on Thursday 15 February at 10:30 for our first Create to Market workshop. Come and create a piece of artwork which can be sold at our end of project exhibition and/or market stall in May.
The day begins with a workshop at 10:30 in the morning, led by Suzanne Cooper, and then a making session in the afternoon at 1:30.
22 Feb – Hand Painted Silks with Suzy
Join us on Thursday 22 February at 10:30 for our next Create to Market workshop. Come and create a piece of artwork using hand painted silk techniques.
The day begins with a workshop at 10:30 in the morning, led by Suzanne Cooper, and then a making session in the afternoon at 1:30.
* 29 Feb – Clay Decorations with Suzy at 10:30am
Join us on Thursday 29 February at 10:30 for our next Create to Market workshop. Come and create a piece of artwork, using clay.

Join us on Thursday 29 February at 1:30 for Digital Upscaling workshop. Come and create a piece of artwork, using parts from old items to make it more presentable and reusable.
The session will be led by Stirling Rodger and is sure to be great fun!
7 Mar – Jewellery Marking with Mel
Join us on Thursday 7 March at 10:30 for Jewellery Marking workshop. Come and make some jewellery to add some bling to someones life.
The session will be led by our very own Mel and is sure to be great fun!
14 Mar – Candle Making with Suzy – NEW DATE
Join us on Thursday 14 March at 10:30 for a Candle Making workshop with Suzy. Come and learn how to make beautiful candle that can be sold at our end of project exhibition and/or market stall in May.
The workshop will be led by Suzanne Cooper.
21 Mar – Fabric Printing with Suzy
Join us on Thursday 21 March at 10:30 for a Fabric Printing workshop with Suzy.
Come and make some beautiful products using fabric printing techniques. This is sure to be fun and colourful.

18 Apr – Photography with Tom – NEW DATE
Join us on Thursday 18 April at 11:30 for Photography workshop with Tom. Come and learn ways of adapting your phone/camera to different locations and how you can edit photos and make your photos presentable.
The workshop well be led by the very talented Tom Ryan-Elliott.
25 Apr – Embroidery & Sewing with Suzy
Join us on Thursday 25 April at 10:30 for an Embroidery & Sewing workshop with Suzy. Come and craft something creative, using embroidery and sewing skills. Lets make something, that can be sold at our end of project exhibition and/or market stall in May.
The workshop will be led by Suzanne Cooper.
25 Apr – Knitting with Lavinia
Join us on Thursday 25 April at 10:30 for a knitting workshop with Lavinia. Come and learn the techniques of knitting and make something that can be sold at our end of project exhibition and/or market stall in May.
The workshop will be led by our very own Lavinia Scott
Project completed
This project came to an end in May 2024, hosting end of project Expo Sale at the Ilford Exchange Shopping Centre, where participants got to sell the creative products the made.
