The annual Disability Festival in the park is back on 17 July 2024, a month earlier than usual for 2024. The Festival will take place at Christchurch Green, Wanstead, London, E11 2RH, from 12 till 7pm.
Join us on Thursday 7 December at 2pm for a Creative Christmas T-Shirt Decorating workshop. Come and decorate your own T-Shirt or Jumper for you to wear at your next Christmas Party! The workshop will be led by our very own, Cynthia Bowling. You will need to bring your own T-Shirt or Jumper
Enter our Christmas Card Design Competition.Part of our programme for International Day of Person with Disabilities, join us on Thursday 16 November and design your own One Place East Christmas Card. This workshop will help you create your Christmas Card or bring your already started design to this workshop to add the finishing touches to your creative design.
Every year on 3 December, we celebrate International Day of Person with Disabilities. The theme of the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disabilities is: "United in action to rescue and achieve the SDGs for, with and by persons with disabilities".
October was Black History Month, Cynthia and her mum Claudette kindly share with us what Black History Month means to them.
What colours represent emotions to you?Join us on Thursday 26 October, at 2pm for a creative workshop, where we will look at different emotions like Love, Hate, Joy, Sadness etc and think about colours that represent each emotion. The workshop will be led by the popular, Emma Heath.

The theme for 2023, set by the World Foundation of Mental Health, is ‘Mental health is a universal human right’.World Mental Health Day is about raising awareness of mental health and driving positive change for everyone’s mental health.
